🌞 My Story — Why I Created Anolah Sun

I’ve been an advocate for clean, ancestral skincare long before I knew that’s what it was called.

As a child, I suffered severely with eczema. My skin was constantly sore and inflamed. I was passed from one dermatologist to the next, handed an endless cycle of steroid creams, petroleum-based ointments, and chemical-laden prescriptions—none of which addressed the deeper root of the problem.

The only thing that ever truly soothed my skin?
The Sun and the Sea.

Though we are taught to fear the sun’s rays, I instinctively felt their healing energy. I was always a sun worshipper. Over years my symptoms faded—but the experience stayed with me. Years later, during lockdown and after a covid vaccination, my skin flared again. For the first time, I clearly saw the connection between inflammation, environment, and the chemicals in the products we use daily.

That was my turning point.

I began reading every label. Questioning every ingredient. I learned that many mainstream products are full of seed oils, hormone-disrupting preservatives, and synthetic emulsifiers. Even the “natural” ones were often far from clean. So I turned inward—to ancestral wisdom, holistic healing, and the few things that had always worked: sunlight, saltwater, and nature-fed nourishment.

That’s how Anolah Sun was born. A brand rooted in my own healing journey, powered by grass-fed tallow, wildcrafted botanicals, and a deep respect for the sun, skin, and soul.
